Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for administering social media accounts for both internal and external clients. Responsible for managing posts and followers they will ensure high levels of web traffic and customer engagement. By applying excellent communication through use of original text and video content, they will express a company’s views creatively and achieve marketing goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Set specific objectives, monitor, and report on campaign performance and ROI
  • Manage $10k+ per month ad spends
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, video’s, and news) using Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and any other social media platforms as needed
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Collaborate with other internal and external members and teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Participation and contribution to team discussion and decision making
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews in line with client rules of engagement
  • Oversee social media accounts design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout etc.)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Abide by social media platforms relevant marketing policies and guidelines
  • Other media buying and web development tasks
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time
  • Perform other duties as requested

Job Requirement and Qualification:

  • Facebook blueprint certified
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Social Media Specialist
  • 2 years media buying experience
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Demonstrated success using Social Media platforms and tools including Hootsuite, Canva, Photoshop and Facebook Business Manager
  • Excellent copywriting
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
